Building a Ladder Original acrylic on stretched canvas
Recovery rarely arrives all at once. It comes rung by rung, built slowly from whatever you have to hand.
Building a Ladder is a painting about that quiet, determined climb. Layers of paint are laid down, scraped back and built up again, so the surface carries its own sense of effort and hope. Every mark is a step towards something lighter.
It's a piece for anyone who has had to build their own way up. Hung in a room, it holds a steady, uplifting energy, a reminder that you are already on your way.
One of a kind. Enquire about this original, or ask me about a bespoke commission in the same spirit.
