Pink is a celebration of all things pink, my favourite colour. For me this brings happiness and joy and yet the muted tones in the background show a serious side. The fields of flowers in the foreground, for me add joy and an exhalted breath into the whimsical. Here in this painting the trees appear to be physically nodding to each other. That with the sonnet is the perfect way to describe art and it's depths of feeling which you can be brought to by practicing it and actioning the directions of your muses. The Shakespeare sonnet is Sonnet 23. It is about an artist's stage fright and the speaker being overwhelmed by feelings of love. I'm a romantic at heart and wish for love so deeply that is why I love art and being an artist as my paitning feeds me and nourishes me.
