View on a Wall
Cosmic Chain Reaction is a response to all things intense yet whimsical and hopeful. It is a celebration of love and life now and in the future.
After a course with the sunny and colourful painter who I truly admire - Betty Franks - this painting is a reaction and response to that inspiration. It is abstract yet thoughtful, deliberate and determined.
I wonder if the human race is going to emigrate to space and this painting is a description of how that might take place and how things might be. It might be energetic, colourful exciting, truly a new frontier. An exploration of life, love and what it means to be human, away from home and breaking down barriers, geographically and personally.
This is one of my first abstracts in which I have listened to the ideas of composition. Normally I just do my own thing (which is what I like the most as it gives me freedom to express myself). But it is undeniable that this abstract is beautiful and one of my favourites. I hope it brings joy and inspiration as well as vision.
