Art at Night
I love staying up late sometimes particularly when inspiration to create is coming. At night I feel that my concentration is better than during the day. At night there are no distractions. It is just me and my art or writing or reading. I can have an art party all night all by myself and I love it. No booze, no cigarettes involved, just art and I know how lucky I am.
I feel that I have produced some of my best paintings and writing at night. There is such a different atmosphere in my apartment at night. It feels exciting, like I have discovered a great secret, really that is just how it feels.
Tonight (mainly), I created a new painting which I absolutely love. It is acrylics and mixed media on stretched canvas. I haven’t named it yet and I am not absolutely sure that it is finished. Here it is currently at 5am on Wednesday morning. And no I haven’t slept yet (it is because I got over excited about painting this painting!). I couldn’t rest until I finished it (if it is finished)! What do you think of it? Do you think it is finished or does it need something else? It is very textured, hopefully the camera picks that up.
I feel that there are a lot of energy shifts going on in this painting.
